MULTIPOINT MAGNETIC SETTLEMENT SYSTEM.

The Multipoint Magnetic Settlement System is a device which allows to measure vertical ground movements.

Measurements are carried out by magnetic sliding rings of three different types (according to the client specifications) which are mounted on a self screwing corrugated sheath Ø 55mm.

First the corrugated sheath is introduced into the borehole with a bottom plug, the magnetic sliding rings can be already mounted or they can be mounted to a later stage by mean of a slide pipe.

Than the whole column is injected with grouting material in order to fix the sliding rings which, in case of ground movement, will move upward or downward on the corrugated sheath.

The distance between the point where initially the sliding rings were set and the point where they have moved, give the settlement measure which is read by the magnetic probe.

The magnetic probe is driven into the corrugated sheath by means of a PVC pipe Ø 1", which has a PVC suspension head to close the Settlement System above.
